MERLIN RESIDENCE

This residential project in Laredo, TX was designed to balance timeless elegance with vibrant personality for a family of seven. A foundation of marble surfaces, warm wood tones, and soothing green hues sets a classic, enduring backdrop, while bold accents, including colorful artwork, an Yves Klein blue piano, and striking orange B&B Italia chairs, infuse the home with energy and individuality. Functionality was essential: a highly efficient office supports homeschooling needs, while acoustics and designated spaces for music practice honor the family’s shared passion for instruments. Entertaining also played a central role in the design, with a dramatic bar conceived as a focal point of the home, seamlessly merging sophistication with conviviality.
