Studio AD is a multidisciplinary design practice based in San Antonio, Texas, where we specialize in creating thoughtful, visually compelling commercial and residential interiors. What sets us apart is our ability to seamlessly blend art, design, and branding to create spaces with a strong sense of identity. Whether it’s a boutique, restaurant, office, or home, we approach every project with the same philosophy: great design should feel authentic, culturally grounded, and emotionally resonant. Clients often come to us not just for interior design, but for help in building or refining their brand. We’re known for taking branding beyond logos and packaging—we bring it into the built environment, making sure a brand’s personality is reflected in every detail of the space. We also offer custom art creation and art curation services, with a strong focus on showcasing local talent. Founder
One of the defining features of my work is the use of bold, contrasting color palettes, inspired by Josef Albers and deeply rooted in my bicultural upbringing. Born in Laredo, Texas, and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, I’ve always considered the interplay of these two cultures a blessing—one that shaped me as both an artist and a person. My artistic journey began early, encouraged by my grandfather, a skilled cartoonist. I started painting at six and continued until entering Architecture School in 2004. Moving to San Antonio felt natural, and the city’s inclusivity and cultural richness have made it home. I’m proud to contribute to its art scene through projects like the Henry B. Gonzalez mural at the Convention Center and artwork celebrating San Antonio’s 1968 World’s Fair at The ‘68 Apartments. Alongside my art practice, I lead Studio AD, a multidisciplinary design studio based in San Antonio. We create thoughtful commercial and residential interiors that often blend branding, art, and design. Our team offers art creation and curation services, emphasizing local talent and culture to give each space a unique identity. We aim to craft environments that are visually striking, culturally meaningful, and deeply engaging. While expanding our work across Texas and beyond, we remain committed to honoring the context and culture of every project location.
