MARION DENTAL

During the early stages of design, the client expressed a clear vision: to create a dental clinic that felt like it belonged, a space rooted in its surroundings and reflective of the character of Marion itself.

Studio AD approached the project by studying the site’s context and the city’s architectural fabric, drawing inspiration from its historic photographs, red and brown brick facades, and the natural stone textures found throughout the area. The resulting design celebrates a dialogue between heritage and modernity, a contemporary interpretation of the familiar materials that define the community.

Inside, a neutral palette enriched with warm, earthy hues brings a sense of calm and comfort to patients and staff alike. A touch of green, drawn from the logo of the nearby high school, introduces a familiar local reference, weaving the clinic into the daily life of the community. Material selections were intentionally grounded in place: stone-inspired surfaces, warm woods, and subtle nods to Marion’s historic charm create an environment that feels both of the place and for the people who call it home.
