ELSMERE RESIDENCE

Designed for a pair of well-traveled empty nesters, this extensive residential remodel was conceived as a deeply personal forever home, one that reflects their lifestyle, passions, and cultural identity. The design draws inspiration from their extensive Latino art collection, creating interiors that feel layered, expressive, and rooted in storytelling. As avid travelers, the clients envisioned a home that would serve as a retreat upon returning from their journeys: calm, restorative, and effortlessly sophisticated.

The residence was also designed to support gathering and entertainment, with spaces that encourage connection, conversation, and hospitality. Influenced by the timeless work of Luis Barragán, the project embraces rich materiality, sculptural light, bold color moments, and a strong sense of warmth and serenity. The result is a home that balances artistic expression with comfort and an environment that feels both inspiring and deeply livable.
