Situated within the iconic Weston Centre in downtown San Antonio, Commonwealth Coffeehouse and Bakery’s latest renovation to one of their growing collection of coffeehouses in San Antonio bears their signature fusion of “traditional French bistro fare" with a San Antonio spin. The design concept celebrates the dual experience that patrons will get to enjoy in the space; whether they want to sip on a cup of artisanal coffee, or a delicious glass of wine, the meticulously designed bar and seating areas will offer guests a variety of experiences to explore, moments of both public introversion and private extroversion.

Upon entering the coffeehouse, guests are led naturally into the long bar, which features white and black calacatta marble/quartz countertops, carefully juxtaposed to symbolize the “threshold” between the dual experiences offered at Commonwealth. With its unique composition of light and dark stones, as well as the reflective nature of the overhead and wall panels, the warm-toned bar design is the defining feature that runs throughout the entire space. With a deep understanding of materiality, the striking atmosphere inside the coffeehouse recalls the richness of Parisian culture and celebrates the colorful nature of San Antonio, both coffee and wine represent a balance between the old, the new, and the vibrant.
