CASA PINK

Casa Pink is a joyful collaboration with artists Cruz and Olivia Ortiz, a husband-and-wife duo whose creativity and community spirit have long inspired San Antonio. Conceived as both a working studio and a gathering space, Casa Pink blurs the line between art, design, and daily life.

From the beginning, the goal was to design a place that felt as expressive and layered as the art created within it, a true reflection of the Ortiz family’s creative practice. The design embraces color as material, with pinks and saturated hues used not only as surface treatments but as an extension of the artists’ identity and story. Playful contrasts of vintage textures, hand-finished surfaces, and locally sourced materials and furnishings give the space an authenticity that feels rooted in the community it serves.

Within the property, spaces unfold to support both artistic production and human connection: Studio Coffee, a small espresso and matcha salon; a vintage printmaking studio; clay and painting studios; and a rotating gallery dedicated to established and emerging artists. Every corner reflects the layered collaboration between Studio AD, the Ortiz family, and their extended creative network, from local makers to design professionals and longtime friends.

A defining feature of Casa Pink is that many of the artworks displayed throughout were created by Cruz and Olivia themselves. Their pieces bring a personal rhythm to the interiors, reinforcing the project’s intent to celebrate creativity as both process and place. The result is a space that feels alive, vibrant, deeply personal, and unapologetically San Antonio.
